April 18, 2022

Hemenway & Barnes Partner and Hingham Town Moderator, Michael J. Puzo, was quoted in the Hingham Anchor’s article “Hingham’s Many Volunteers Appreciated: ‘They Play a Pivotal Part in Charting the Town’s Future.’” Puzo described the important role that the town’s many volunteers play, stating that they are “at the core of Hingham’s commitment to self-governance… The town quite literally could not exist as it does without its volunteers.”

As Town Moderator, Michael Puzo and the Select Board are responsible for interviewing and appointing citizens annually to a host of boards and committees. Puzo explains that “this is an open and a welcoming process, and citizens are urged to offer their talents to the town.”

Puzo has served as Town Moderator since 2012 and has also been a volunteer on several town committees, including the Personnel Board, Zoning Board of Appeals, and Water Supply Committee.
