Johanna Schneider to Present at MCLE’s Zoning: MCLE BasicsPlus!

Johanna W. Schneider joins MCLE’s faculty of zoning experts to present Zoning: MCLE BasicsPlus!on January 27, 2021. This program explains the basics of zoning in Massachusetts. Topics include applying for a zoning ordinance or bylaw, how to be effective in practicing before local boards, and what happens in an appeal to the Land Court.

Johanna serves on her town’s Zoning Board of Appeals and is the co-author of the chapter on Landowner Actions to Determine the Validity or Applicability of Zoning Ordinances in the Massachusetts Zoning Manual published by MCLE in August 2019. The Zoning Manual provides comprehensive coverage of zoning law and tracks key statutory and case law developments. The chapter includes discussions on procedures and legal theories for challenging the validity of local zoning regulations, as well as discussion of relevant case law.
