Hemenway & Barnes’ Vanessa Arslanian will speak on the Boston Bar Association (BBA) panel on “The Nuts and Bolts of Joint Defense Agreements” on Tuesday, May 7, 2019, at 5:30 p.m.

About the Program

In this BBA White Collar Practice Series program, Vanessa, Tony Fuller (Hogan Lovells), and Mike Licker (Foley Hoag) will provide a primer on joint defense agreements (JDAs) in the white collar context and answer any questions you have about them. Participants should expect to come away with an understanding of how to enter into an enforceable JDA (and how to leave one gracefully), current law on this issue, and the suite of considerations counsel should consider in the joint defense context.

About the White Collar Practice Series

The BBA’s White Collar Practice Series provides training on both the foundations of white collar practice – like the lifecycle of an SEC or DOJ investigation – as well as more advanced topics, like sources of secondary liability or evidentiary issues in white collar cases. The series features insights from experienced practitioners and early-career attorneys from both the private bar and the state and federal government.

Vanessa is a member of the BBA’s White Collar Steering Committee and is spearheading the White Collar Practice Series.
