Alan McKenna Joins Hemenway & Barnes as Counsel in the Business Law Group

Hemenway & Barnes LLP, one of Boston’s preeminent legal and fiduciary firms, is pleased to announce that Alan E. McKenna has joined the firm as counsel in the Business Law Group.

Alan focuses his practice on serving privately held companies and family-owned businesses as a trusted general counsel. With more than 25 years of legal and business experience, he advises clients on a wide range of corporate and transactional matters that support business formation, growth, and ongoing operations.

Alan brings valuable experience from his roles as Chief Legal Officer of a privately held global restaurant chain and as a business owner. He frequently serves as outside general counsel to owner-led companies and nonprofits, advising on corporate and real estate matters while helping clients mitigate risk and resolve conflicts efficiently.

An active member of his community, Alan serves on the Board of the Hingham Sports Partnership and as a Director at Alma Cares, Inc. He is also the former President, Advisor, and Trustee of the Hingham Education Foundation, and previously served as Vice Chair of the Town of Hingham Conservation Commission.
