Alternative Asset Administrator
The Alternative Asset Administrator, under the supervision of the Advent Team Manager, administers alternative assets owned by firm clients. They will also assist as needed with the Advent APX system and support various investment operations functions. This is a team-oriented role with opportunities for growth over time. Must maintain high levels of client confidentiality and service standards.
Job Summary:
- Responsible for maintaining alternative investment data in Advent APX and FIS Global Plus.
- Coordinates reporting from LPs, hedge funds, custodian banks, and internal teams.
- Oversees collection of capital account statements, K-1s, capital calls, and distributions.
- Coordinates outgoing payments and ensures accurate recordkeeping in accounting systems.
- Assists with daily Advent APX operations, including price, index, and security master updates.
- Will serve as back up trader, and coordinate with brokers and custodians on failing trades.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- One to two years of operations experience at a custodian bank or brokerage.
- General knowledge of hedge funds, private equity, and alternative assets preferred.
- Experience with Advent APX/Moxy a plus
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with ability to complete tasks under time constraints.
- Ability to demonstrate impeccable integrity in personal and fiduciary matters.
