Supporting Boston’s Heritage: Hemenway & Barnes Sponsors 37th Annual Preservation Achievement Awards

October 21, 2025

Hemenway & Barnes is pleased to support the preservation of Boston’s architectural and cultural legacy as a sponsor of the 37th Annual Preservation Achievement Awards, hosted by the Boston Preservation Alliance on October 21, 2025, at Artists for Humanity in South Boston.

The Boston Preservation Alliance is an independent, nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing Boston’s historic buildings, landscapes, and communities. Through education, advocacy, and collaborative partnerships, the Alliance works to ensure that Boston’s past remains a vital part of its future.

Each year, the Preservation Achievement Awards honor outstanding historic preservation efforts and projects across the city. Since 1988, the awards have celebrated initiatives that restore and preserve Boston’s rich architectural heritage, while also recognizing compatible new construction that complements the city’s historic fabric. Winning projects serve as models for excellence in preservation and positive contributions to Boston’s built environment.

Hemenway & Barnes congratulates this year's honorees:

  • 2025 President’s Award for Excellence: Daniel Dain
  • 2025 Codman Award for Lifetime Achievement: Byron Rushing
