Proposed new regulations from the Biden Administration mean schools may have to comply with new requirements on addressing sexual misconduct.
The panel of experts will provide an overview of the new rules, discuss which proposed changes are most likely to be the focus of the upcoming comment period, and advise universities and schools on what they need to do now to prepare.
Meaghan Borys is an associate in the Litigation Group at Hemenway & Barnes. She conducts investigations involving discrimination, harassment, and retaliation based on protected classes and represents parties in Title IX proceedings. Her experience in the space is complemented by having spent six years with the Harvard Dean of Students’ Office serving as a resident advisor and mentor to first-year undergraduates. Meaghan is a member of the Association of Title IX Administrators (ATIXA) and holds the following certifications: “Decision Maker,” “Investigation Report Writing,” and “Civil Rights Investigator 4”.
