Mark Elefante Named Top 2026 Managing Partner by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly

Mark Elefante, managing partner of Hemenway & Barnes, was named a top managing partner by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly. The recognition honors some of the state’s best-known law firm leaders.

In his leadership role, Mark has focused on positioning the firm for long-term success while honoring the values and legacy that have defined Hemenway & Barnes for more than 160 years. A key priority has been guiding the firm through growth and change while preserving the collaborative culture, mentorship, professionalism, and close personal relationships that clients and colleagues value. Mark’s approach honors the firm’s longstanding traditions while fostering an environment where those guiding principles continue to shape its future.

Mark also continues a family tradition of leadership at the firm. His father, Michael B. Elefante, served as managing partner of Hemenway & Barnes from 1993 to 1999.

In addition to his role as managing partner, Mark’s serves as a private fiduciary for family trusts and represents privately held businesses, nonprofits, and individuals in real estate transactions and business succession planning.
