Donna A. Mizrahi is co-presenting “Ethical Issues Concerning Elder Abuse in Real Estate Transactions” at The Real Estate Bar Association (REBA) Spring Conference on May 2, 2022.

This session will address the ethical issues that arise in real estate transactions involving older clients at risk of elder abuse. The panelists will address how an attorney should handle real estate transactions involving a senior who appears to have diminished capacity and is vulnerable to exploitation. Panelists will review red flags to detect potential cases of abuse. The session will also cover what processes and resources are in place to address these issues and what an attorney’s obligations are in this situation.

Donna Mizrahi has over a decade of experience litigating in federal and state courts. Her practice focuses on real estate, probate, business, and appellate litigation. She regularly litigates boundary, easement, partition, and zoning disputes; will, trust, and estate disputes; guardianships and conservatorships; breach of contract and tort matters; and state and federal appeals. Donna also has substantial experience in providing advice regarding pre-litigation risk mitigation, as well as in handling mediation and arbitration disputes.
