SARAH M. WAELCHLI joined Hemenway & Barnes LLP as an associate in 2008.  Ms. Waelchli focuses her practice in the areas of estate planning, probate law and trust law.

Ms. Waelchli received her undergraduate degree from Winona State University in Winona, Minnesota, in 2002 (summa cum laude).  She received her J.D. from Boston University School of Law in 2005 (cum laude), where she was a Dean’s Scholar.  While in law school, Ms. Waelchli served as the Administrative Editor of the Boston University International Law Journal.  She was also a member of the school’s Orientation Student Welcomer Program in which she served as a Community Service Chair, organizing community service activities for incoming law school students.  In her legal practice, Ms. Waelchli has provided pro bono family law services to clients through the Women’s Bar Foundation’s Family Law Project for Battered Women.

Before joining Hemenway & Barnes LLP, Ms. Waelchli practiced in the estate planning and probate litigation departments at K&L Gates LLP in Boston, Massachusetts.
