Thanks to her 25 years of experience and leadership in the financial services industry, individuals and families rely on Marianne Herlihy for advice in all aspects of family office creation and operation. Her clients trust her to design and implement family office services around their particular needs and goals.
Marianne works closely with other Hemenway & Barnes professionals to ensure a consistent delivery of sophisticated family office services and to provide an enhanced client experience.
Immediately prior to joining our firm, Marianne served as a Senior Program Director at the Fidelity Foundation. While there, she was responsible for structuring and recommending investments. Marianne built and managed an active national grant portfolio, consulting with nonprofit leaders on strategic business issues, effective management, financial sustainability, board governance and alternative funding sources. In addition, she led key Foundation initiatives, ranging from website redesign to the development of web-based workflow processes.
Community Involvement
- Served as a consultant for Boston Partners in Education and the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, Women's Executive Committee
- Member of the board for the MathPOWER (Massachusetts nonprofit focus on math education and achievement)
- Former board member and chair of the University of Vermont Regional Alumni Board
