Megan Briggs Reilly works with individuals, families, charitable trusts and foundations to provide a range of philanthropic and client services. She works with clients to research issues, review grant proposals, research nonprofits and provide other philanthropic advisory work.
Representative Experience
Megan oversees the education grant making for Jane's Trust, a charitable trust client that makes significant grants in Massachusetts, northern New England and Florida. Her work includes identifying appropriate charities, conducting due diligence and site visits, communicating with trustees and staffing board meetings.
Megan also researches issues, reviews nonprofits and provides philanthripic advisory work to other charitable trusts, family foundations and individual clients. In the past, she also assisted a family foundation with an executive search.
Activities and Publications
Megan participates in several funder collaboratives and networks:
- Member, Boston Capacity Tank's Oversight Committee providing input on the Tank's work with organizations working with high-risk youth
- Member, Boston Education Funders Program Committee
- Active in funder networks in Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont
- Past reviewer, EdVestors Collaborative Fund to support programming in the Boston Public Schools
Community Involvement
Megan is active in the Greater Boston community; recent involvement includes:
- Member, Alumni Association Board, Heller School of Social Policy & Management, Brandeis University
- Graduate, Boston Center for Community and Justice's LeadBoston program (2007)
